Our favourite summer piece
Well the weather is finally turning for the better! Thinking lazy days in the sun, at the beach, by the pool. Drinks, dinners, picnics, cafes. After the winter we’ve all had, we are looking forward to getting out and about more, mixing with our nearest and dearest and exploring the world again. means it's time to ramp up our wardrobes and leave our loungewear on the couch!
One simple way to add a lot of options to your existing wardrobe is to add a kimono. Such a versatile piece is a loose fitting over garment and it can make such a difference. The basic shape has not changed over the centuries, making it comfortable and elegant! Try wearing one over your shorts and T shirt or bikini top with strappy sandals for a dressy day look (also gives protection from the sun). Jeans and your fav shirt or T look fabulous when a kimono is added for a more interesting street wear day of shopping. This will take you into the evening and still look fabulous. For an easy, glamorous night out, try wearing a silk version over your outfit. Just adds that special touch and helps if the evening is cooler. Be creative and add a belt or your favourite scarf or brooch for an individualised take. Just wear a singlet or camisole underneath.
